Clash of the Gods; Who would win?!

Popular

We’ve all been through history lessons talking about the Olympic gods worshipped in Ancient Greece, but did we ever ask the real question? Who would win in a bareknuckle bust-up amongst the divine beings of antiquity? For this clash of the gods, we take look at the most notable.

This is all assumed this takes places on a neutral playing ground so nobody gets the home turf advantage (as funny as it would be to imagine Zeus in a snorkel trying to really lay into Poiseidon, we’ve kept it simple and taken it down from Mount Olympus and into a fair battleground)

Zeus – The most famous of all the Greek gods, and arguably the most powerful. Zeus was ruler of the sky and could chuck about his lightning bolt at the drop of a hat which has given him some pretty solid ratings.

Poseidon – The god of the sea, known to be highly vengeful when insulted (being incredibly petty is an advantage in a big fight). Poseidon’s control of the waves makes him a formidable foe and one not to take lightly!
Hades – The god of the underworld, blessed with the power of invisibility and ultimate control of the dead. He might not be the happiest bloke, but you can’t deny he’s really one of those “wins in the end” type people.

Aphrodite – The goddess of love and beauty, which doesn’t sound very combat worthy but if most of the other fighters are blokes she has a decent chance of sneaking a win here.

Athena – The goddess of wisdom and responsible for the defence of Athens, a powerful virgin warrior and tactical genius. If anyone’s going to come up with a winning strategy, it’s Athena.

Hercules – The Demigod and star of many a movie, Hercules was so powerful that he was pretty much regarded as a full on god. With numerous epic battles under his belt, we’d give this half god more than a half chance of winning the clash. He is legendary to say the least.

So, what would happen if we pitted this lot against each other? Who would win in the ultimate god battle – we took a look at casino games series Age of the God’s and have put together our Clash of the Gods, Top Trump’s style, to see who comes out on top!
